Flint River Services operates multiple refrigerated facilities
that are strategically located. We are equipped to handle
up to 20 rail cars and 50 trucks at any time. Our storage
space of over 20 million cubic feet includes over 750,000
square feet of temperature controlled space suitable for storing
perishable food commodities.
Controlled temperature
refrigeration and controlled humidity allow us to store products
at the proper settings necessary for your individual needs.
This ensures that your product's quality and freshness can be
maintained for prolonged periods of time.
Our
dry storage facilities also accommodate the food industry, from
corrugated containers to the type used by peanut butter manufacturers
and just about everything in between. Our level of sanitation
is higher than your 'normal' dry warehouse so that we may maintain
an environment that is equal to that of a food warehouse since
edibles will be stored in these containers in the future.
With our blast freezing
technology, Flint River Services has the ability to freeze over
one million pounds of product in a 24-hour period in cells that
are capable of freezing to 0 degrees in 24 hours. This makes
Flint River Services one of the quickest blast freezing facilities
in the Southeast. The blast freezing process allows us to freeze
perishable items as low as minus 50 degrees when necessary.

and works very closely with them, as well as with environmental
agencies.
